(Please take note that there is currently no underwater photos taken)

Every year we have an underwater photo session for the children. To see what the photos look like, you can look on the website or have a look on the wall at the swimschool for the photos that have been taken in the past.

How it is done :
These photos are taken with the child completely submerged in the water. We do not force the child at any point of time to go down the water. We encourage the children to go down on their own, though we will assist from time to time the children to help them going down as low as possible in order to get a photo from them. The child's eyes have to be open in order to get a good photo. No goggles please. As it might be difficult for some children to open their eyes underneath the water, we will allow in extreme circumstances the child to put on his / her goggles.
As the pool is sanitised by ozone gas, it will contain the minimum to zero chlorine.

What clothes to wear :
Normal swimming costumes. Boys can wear a full costume, or only swim pants.

What color to wear :
Though all colors are allowed, colors that's more in the RED spectrum looks better under the water. Try to prevent wearing blue, as the water is already blue and the contrast is then only minimal.

The girl's hair?
Please tie the hair in at least one ponytail. Loose hair will always move in over the face of the child under the water.

How long does it take :
It takes about 30 minutes to get enough photos to choose from. Some children will be done in about ten minutes, depending on how comfortable the child is in going down the water.

What will I get :
You do have a choice of two packages :
Option A :1 x A4 gloss color photo and 2 x Jumbo gloss photos
Option B :4 x Jumbo gloss photos
(We choose the best photos for the printouts)
Both packages includes a CD with all photos taken in JPEG format

Cost :
Both packages are R500.00 each

What if there is more than one brother / sister?
Brothers and sisters of up to three children may share one package, though we will only take photos of the combination of all the children, and no individual photos will be taken. If you want individual photos to be taken of brother and/or sister, you will be charged for separate packages.

Discount for more children?
Yes there is discount for families with more than one child.
The first child will pay R500.00 per package. The second will pay R400.00 per package. The third child will pay R300.00 per package.

Do we guarantee the success?
Though we do take lots of excellent photos, we can not guarantee the success of all the photos, as it is up to the child to open his eyes, look at the camera and smile under the water. Our success rate is about 90% to get beautifull photos.

What are you allowed to do and what not :
It is not a day of playing in the water. So, NO SPLASHING please! The splashing makes a lot of bubbles that influence the water quality. Parents, please inform your child that this will unfortunately not be a playing and splashing day in the water. Everyone's feet need to be washed in the basin (that will be provided next to the pool) before getting in the pool. No washing IN the pool please. We are trying to keep all dirt out of the water to keep the water as clear as possible.

How do I book? :
There will be a list with all the available slots for the sessions at the swimschool. There you will be able to see which slots are still available and make your booking. Please book in time to prevent disappointment.

Payment?:
The full photo fees needs to be paid at least 2 weeks before the event. After that your slot will be transferred to the next person on the waiting list. Payment can be made via EFT or cash with the child's name and surname as reference.

When will I get my photos?
The photos will be ready for collection in the first week of the new year.
